Your Guide to Indoor Plants

Like any other living creature, plants need food and water to live. Food being indirect sunlight (for more info on how to water plants).
Sun is one of the main foods for plants, but not all plants like the sun the same way.

Here are a few steps to know what your indoor plant wants as a beginner.

1. Indirect Sunlight:

Indirect sunlight means that the sun doesn’t reach straight for the plant there is something in between so it should be kept indoors.

Indirect Sunlight

That doesn’t mean that it should be in a dark room, it needs sun just not direct on it.

A glass window or balcony or blinds blocking the direct sunlight is the best thing.

Putting it outdoors or in direct sunlight might cause damage and burn the leaves.

2. Irrigation:

Most of our plants don’t need watering every day. How do you know when to water it? It should be watered regularly after checking the soil and remember that it changes in winter and summer.

Irrigation

Dry soil= means it needs water and thirsty.

Wet soil= means it doesn’t need water wait 1-2 days before watering it.

Don’t over water your plant, over watering might cause roots to rot.

For more info on how to check the soil click here.

 3. Fertilization:

Just like us, plants need their extra vitamins so you might need to fertilize your plant from time to time. Just avoid fertilizing during winter season as it might exhaust the plant.

You can check our fertilizers collection here.

Clean Leaves

 4. Clean the leaves:

The leaves might collect dust over time and light won’t reach it so wiping it with a wet cloth.
